Here’s the Huff’s Huddle Newsletter for April 22-26.

Happy Easter!  Our Savior lives!!  I pray you had a beautiful day in worship and with your family.  So thankful for the unbelievable gift of Jesus and the sunshine/warm temps were the icing on the cake.

Please continue to sign up for items for our chuck wagon lunch this Friday.  Thanks for all who have already signed up.  Excited for our celebration on Friday.  Check out the newsletter for details and times and how we will celebrate Earth Day as a school as well.

We completed our achievement tests on Friday and the Huddle rocked it.  So proud of their efforts!

Vouchers for the Jimmy John’s baseball game came home this week from our March reading challenge and we are heading to the game on June 12th at 7:05pm.  Second and third grade will be sitting in Section 101 that night…it will be a super fun way to kick off summer together.

Looking forward to more Wild West fun this week with the Huddle,
Catha

Huff’s Huddle Newsletter for April 8-12

Here’s the Huff’s Huddle Newsletter for April 8-12.

I pray you and your family had a wonderful spring break together!!  I was so blessed by the time with my family in Chicago…we took in Medieval Times, the Hamilton musical, and enjoyed some museums.  The trip was especially significant as my mom had given us Hamilton tickets for Christmas, and sent $ for us to take Cam to Medieval Times for his birthday.  The trip was a gift from my mom and it was awesome to be able to enjoy those things she had planned for us.

I cannot even begin to thank each and every one of you for the incredible memorial for my mom.  Your gift was used to support scholarships for teachers in the area of speech and hearing.  This was a project my mom worked with for years, and God in His plan knew that both of my sons would benefit from the support and help of therapists in this area as well.  I am so happy to know that further training will be given to those that serve in this area, thanks to each of you.

The gift cards continue to bless us!  As we sort and process so much as a family lately, the meals that we can enjoy with no effort or financial worry have been simply amazing.  I am so very thankful to have each of you in our lives.

This next week of school will be focused on test taking prep and practice activities as we look to our standardized testing next week.  Due to testing falling during Holy Week and a half day of school on Good Friday, we will celebrate our first year of standardized testing on Friday, April 26 with our Wild West Day.

I will send out a sign-up genius for items to donate for our chuckwagon lunch on that Friday.  The Huddle will also be learning the Virginia Reel and sharing pioneer songs that day as part of our celebration.  Students are encouraged to dress in Wild West/Cowboy/Cowgirl attire for that school day.  I will have extra bandanas and sheriff badges if that would be helpful for your child to borrow for the day. if interested in joining us for class celebration, we will be celebrating primarily from 11am-1pm-ish that day.

Looking forward to all the activities that April will bring,

Catha
