Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!  There is no school tomorrow or on Monday.

We have loved our first song of the week.  Listen to it here: https://video.link/w/sXa1d It is Day One by Matthew West.

The class received compliments for our behavior this week in Art, Spanish, and P.E.  We also had the cleanest floor of the school at the end of the day!

I am SO proud of this group and am excited for our year ahead together.

Wow!  I love this Huddle.  They are such great kids and I am enjoying getting to know them and help them fit back into a solid school routine.

Today, we started with a devotion about how God has knit us together perfectly.  He know more about us than we know about ourselves.  Ask your child what this means.

We worked on handwriting today and wrote a statement about our class.  We shared those statements with each other.

Ask your child about the read aloud I am sharing with them, The Talented Clementine.  What is Clementine’s talent?

We worked on RESPECT and EMPATHY today.  These words are SO important as we build our class family.

We took a quiz on how well we have learned new things about Mrs. Huff.

We had computer class with Mrs. Moore.  She gave us a class dojo point!

We had art with Mrs. L.  The class did great.

I modeled about how to share our Student of the Week posters and sharing.

The weather although chillier allowed us to get outside too.

First Full Day of Third Grade

We started our day with a devotion about how God made Earth “just right” for life.  Our God is amazing!!

We had Music with Mrs. Bante.  We did a great job.

We had Spanish with Mrs. Evola.  Please look in the green folder for an information sheet about Mrs. Evola.

We worked on learning more about Mrs. Huff using a K-W-L learning grid.

We had a practice fire drill and rocked it out.

We had lunch and recess.

I started to share the story, The Talented Clementine, with the Huddle.

We had our first Michigan History class with Miss Adams and got to know more about her.

We had P.E.

We celebrated a birthday today.

We are off to an awesome start!

Welcome to Huff’s Huddle!

Welcome to Huff‘s Huddle!  I am so excited to have your child in the Huddle this year.  It was so nice to meet and share the evening yesterday.  Thanks for partnering with me for a great year.  I have attached my PowerPoint from curriculum night.  Please return Chromebook Loan Agreement, Tell Me About Your Child, and Handbook Acknowledgement Page forms by September 5.  Be sure to sign up for the class Remind too.  Text @huffshudd to 81010 to join.  If you were unable to come to curriculum night, I will send home information passed out yesterday in a “Welcome to Huff’s Huddle!” blue folder with your child on Monday.

Mrs. L, Trinity’s K-4 art teacher, chalked our school theme verse for our classroom chalkboard.  It is beautiful and I am so thankful for her sharing her artistic gifts with the Huddle.

Our class blog is located at: https://huffhuddle.edublogs.org  I will post weekly newsletters, class photos, and more on the class blog.  I try to post every day after school so you can find assignments and homework listed there.

You are welcome to attend our opening chapel of the school year at 8:30 in the church.  If this is your first year at Trinity, parents sit on the sides of the church for chapel.  Our first day of school is a half-day.  Students will be dismissed at 11:30.  Feel free to head over to the field after dismissal for a Back2School cook-out and fellowship time for our school families.

Have a wonderful weekend!  I can’t wait to see your child on Monday for the start of our third grade adventure.

With much prayer and anticipation for a great year,

Mrs. Huff
